Our expanding range of speciality coffees spans a huge spectrum of flavours and feels. Sustainably sourced, responsibly farmed, we’re working with quality-focused global producers to bring you truly artisanal coffees — small-batch roasted, hand packed for maximum freshness.

Founder Paul Taylor looked for a career change, having spent his working life creating effective processes for large-scale food production across the world.

A confessed coffee nut, what was at first a keen interest, became something of an obsession — to create a local, artisan coffee company that drew inspiration from across the coffee-growing globe.

Starting out as the Hocombe Coffee Company (and from his garage), Paul quickly built a network of global suppliers who were focussed on quality, not quantity, eventually establishing the OHCO café and roasters as a centre of operations.

“A background in engineering made me fascinated in the science part of the coffee roasting process, and was a great foundation to allow OHCO to experiment with our producers’ beans to release as much of the flavour as possible. It’s as much art as science, but over time we’ve built on our experience and expertise, constantly improving and expanding our range, we truly think whatever kind of coffee you love, there’s an OHCO coffee for you.”

OHCO also stocks plenty of our own favourite accessories, from filter papers, V60 coffee drippers, Aeropresses, right up to the super sleek Slayer machines that power our café, so we’re a complete one-stop-shop for the choosy coffee lover.
